Travis Thibodaux

image73

This Louisiana-born singer/songwriter started his musical journey at the age of twelve after writing “Take My Hand” (which would be recorded by Grammy winner Wayne Toups and become a regional standard just a few years later). By the following year, Thibodaux’s musical destiny was set as he began performing in bands across the Gulf Coast/Southern Louisiana area.

By his mid-twenties, Travis would spend several years in Nashville, Tennessee working as a full-time session vocalist and songwriter.

It was his work and dedication to professionalism in Nashville that caught the attention of legendary rock performer/songwriter Jonathan Cain of Journey. In 2015, Travis was hired to be the newest member of Journey’s touring unit, providing background vocals and auxiliary keyboards on stage with some of the biggest icons in rock history: Jonathan Cain, Neal Schon, Ross Valory, Steve Smith, and Arnel Pineda.

In 2016, Travis released his latest recording “Travis Thibodaux.” This six-song E.P. features brand-new original tracks recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.

It wasn’t long before folks began to take notice of Ty’s natural guitar ability, and he was soon being sought after as a studio musician on the local scene. To date, Ty has done several sessions of studio work in Nashville, and is a regular “go to” guy at the well known, Dockside Studios in Maurice, Louisiana. Kendall Shaffe

 Highlights

  • 1000,000 First week Streams for his latest single "Honky Tonkin"
  • First single broke Top 30 on Texas Red Radio
  • Asked to perform at the 2019 Hometown Rising Festival - Louisville, Kentucky  "Scheduled acts include Tim McGraw, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and many more.

Kendall’s songs sparkle with a decidedly modern edge and yet they still manage to cut through the homogenization that’s held the genre hostage for far too long. But Kendall’s music shows that you don’t have to try too hard to be yourself — all you have to do is let it flow. Although he’s a child of the ‘90s, Kendall fell under the spell of artists like Hank Williams, Sr. and Alan Jackson as a young child. On the cover of The Traditional Revival, Kendall — barely older than a toddler and dressed in nothing more than a pair of drawers and a cowboy hat — is shown holding an acoustic guitar in the backyard.
